Sabbath...a day of rest...

What a great country we live in, this great United States of America, that we have the freedom to practice our religion.

"Freedom of religion is a guarantee by a government for freedom of belief for individuals and freedom of worship for individuals and groups. It is generally recognized to also include the freedom not to follow any religion. Freedom of religion is considered by many in many nations and people to be a fundamental human right."
-The freedom of religion as stated by Wikipedia

As members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Sunday is a day of rest from our weekly schedule of work. Today is a day that we reserve for worshipping our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

My thoughts for today are to give you a scripture from The Book of Mormon, a book I believe in, in addition to the Holy Bible.

In this scripture, Mormon is giving hope to Moroni, regardless of the world's evil. This applies to my blog as I write articles from time-to-time regarding serious stories that make this world seem extremely dark and evil. While that may be the case, just remember to look around and know that there is a plan and plenty of beauty amongst all of the dark. This scripture applies now, in that it gives hope for those that are suffering during dark times, that this life is not in vain.

"25....be faithful in Christ; and may not the things which I have written grieve thee, to weigh thee down unto death; but may Christ lift thee up, and may his sufferings and death, and the showing his body unto our fathers, and his mercy and long-suffering, and the hope of his glory and of eternal life, rest in your mind forever.

26. And may the grace of God the Father, whose throne is high in the heavens, and our Lord Jesus Christ, who sitteth on the right hand of his power, until all things shall become subject unto him, be, and abide with you forever. Amen."
-Moroni 9:25-26
